Deacon Scott and Dean Elina visit Mission Committee of the Eastern Synod

Water drum?  There’s no mention of it in scripture, but it certainly invites us into the reconciliation called for there among all people and found in the respectful traditions of our First Nations.

Deacon Scott Knarr talked about the ministry he shares with the people of the Six Nations on whose land we reside.

Deacon Scott Installed at Mt Zion!

An installation to a ministry of music! Deacon Scott Knarr was installed by Pastor Elina, dean of our Two Rivers Ministry Area Sunday afternoon April 17th, 2016. Debbie Lou Ludolph from WLS shared a challenging message, calling us in word and song to reconciliation and to a ministry that values those on the margins. Wonderful singers, musicians, including the Good Hearted Women! Wonderful community, including folks from our TRMA and the Six Nations Anglican Parish!IMG_2100

INSTALLATION OF DEACON SCOTT – on Sunday April 17th

INSTALLATION OF DEACON SCOTT – on Sunday April 17th  at  3pm Dean Elina will install Deacon Scott at Mt Zion, Waterloo. His ministry is among the people of the Six Nations and Two Rivers in addition to Mt. Zion.  Deacon Scott uses music as a means of encouraging right relationships here in our Two Rivers Ministry Area. He has been graciously received by those he is serving.  Let us now show our support for him as fellow workers with him in the Two Rivers Ministry Area. As well, our presence endorses the process of reconciliation. A deacon’s ministry, as Bishop Pryse pointed out at Scott’s consecration, is to cross barriers so that all may know Christ’s love. Hopefully, too, you will find yourself encouraged to take your own steps to right relationships!

We thank God for the people of the Six Nations on whose land we reside, those of Mt. Zion, Waterloo and for Deacon Scott! Come and share in this historic event!  #myELCIC #ESynodELCIC

Two Rivers Meeting at Mt Zion, Waterloo on Monday Feb 29th 7pm.

Two Rivers met at Mt Zion, Waterloo on Monday Feb 29th at 7pm. At the meeting we heard from the folks at Mt. Zion about their history, mission and ministry. We channelled our creativity and had some fun as we built a vision of ministry to carry us into the next few years with hope and confidence.
We are building relationships with our neighbours – sisters and brothers from Two Rivers Ministry Area. Wow! That is where the Good News takes us. Come and see! Be a part of this growing, supportive community working together in mission with and for others!   #myELCIC #ESynodELCICFullSizeRender 35 FullSizeRender 32 FullSizeRender 31 FullSizeRender 36 FullSizeRender 39 FullSizeRender 37 FullSizeRender 38
